The free Barnahus online school is suitable for all professionals working with children, young people and families. It is particularly aimed at people working in social services, healthcare, schools, early childhood education and care, and students in these fields.
The aim is to provide tools to identify violence against children and how to act in cases of suspected violence. The training will also provide tools for professionals in their everyday work to support children who have experienced violence.
The online school consists of four sub-courses, which include text, videos, podcasts and exercises:
Part 1: Phenomenon of violence against children
Part 2: Consequences of violence for the child
Part 3: Recognising violence and taking action
Part 4: Supporting the everyday life of a child who has experienced violence
The course is also available in Finnish and Swedish.
