When a person experiences trauma or a stressful life situation, it’s normal to feel more nervous, anxious, or overexcited than usual.

Anxiety and fear are very typical symptoms of stress and trauma. Suddenly, the world doesn’t feel the same as it did before the event, but can feel dangerous and confusing.

It can be hard to trust other people or feel like it’s hard to predict what’s going to happen.

Trauma can affect us in so many ways, and there is no one right way to react.
